Itinerary
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and transported to your hotel in Kathmandu. The next day, embark on a tour of the city. Included in the tour are visits to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Boudhanath Stupa.
After two nights, travel to Chitwan National Park, famous for its wildlife viewing. The park is home to rhinos, tigers, leopards, and various species of deer. Upon arrival, take time to relax before visiting the nearby Tharu village. The Tharu people have lived there for more than 500 years. In the evening, enjoy a traditional stick dance performance.
The next day, explore the area's nature and wildlife with an expert naturalist. Take a guided nature walk and try to spot some of the many series of birds that reside in the park. Then head out on a jeep safari through the jungle to try and catch a sight of Bengal tigers, wild elephants, and more.
On arrival in Pokhara, you'll have the option of an early morning drive to Sarangkot (extra charge). Afterwards, head for a city tour. Visit the Old Bazaar, home to a range of colourful stalls selling produce and textiles, before heading off to some cultural landmarks. The Bindabasini temple is one of the oldest temples in the city and the Gurkha Museum details the history of the military group. Lastly, Devi's Fall and the Gupteshwor Cave presents some of the area's natural beauty.
After four nights in Pokhara, return to Kathmandu for two nights before flying back to the UK.
