Itinerary

  • Lima... go on a guided tour of the city, including the historic centre (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). There will also be plenty of time to explore at your own pace. We recommend the Malecón de Miraflores, which offers clifftop views of the Pacific ocean.
  • Sacred Valley...  visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress, a historic site of Incan resistance against the Spanish conquest of Peru. A trip to the village of Pisac will follow. The village is home to a bustling market and Incan ruins. After your first night in the Sacred Valley, a guide will show you to Machu Picchu, to explore the history of the mountain citadel.
  • Cusco... take in the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which still stands as a testament to the quality of Incan craftmanship. This is followed by a guided tour of the city renowned for its striking marriage of antiquity and modernity.
  • Santiago... head off on a guided tour of the city, starting at the National Museum, then onto the bohemian Bellavista district, with its distinctive murals. Trips to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar will take place the next day, both offering a coastal break from city life.
  • Puerto Varas... experience the port city of Puerto Montt en route to your accommodation, with breath-taking views all around. Puerto Varas is known as the 'City of Roses' and offers beautiful vistas of snow-capped volcanoes and the immense Lake Llanquihue.
  • San Carlos de Bariloche... cruise on a catamaran across Lake Todos los Santos on your journey towards the Andes. San Carlos de Bariloche is known for its Swiss-style buildings, and is well placed for exploring the Argentinian lake district. Go on a guided tour of the surrounding area, visiting mountains, lakes, and coihue forests.
  • Buenos Aires... see more of this exciting city on a guided tour. Visit the bohemian San Telmo neighbourhood, and the Recoleta Cemetary—a fascinating city of the dead, home to the grave of Eva Peron.
  • Iguazu Falls... see both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides of the largest waterfall system in the world. Take forest paths, and feel the spray from Argentina, while the Brazil side offers stunning panoramic views of the entirety of the Falls.
  • Rio de Janeiro... take a trip up to the Christ the Redeemer statue, the iconic motif of Rio. You will then be guided to the Sugarloaf mountain peak, before unwinding on the buzzing beaches of the previous capital of Brazil.
