Itinerary highlights

  • Quilotoa Crater Lake… this turquoise lake is formed in the vast crater of a volcano in the western Andes. It's 250 metres deep, and is a striking scenic spot with just clouds and the tips of towering mountain peaks surrounding it  
  • Cotopaxi National Park… meaning "smooth neck of the moon" in the indigenous Quechua language, this national park is dominated by the Cotopaxi volcano, which is almost perfectly symmetrical; its sides rise almost 6000 metres
  • Galápagos Islands... you'll stay on the island of Santa Cruz, from where you'll take trips to see the famous Galápagos giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, and sea lions. A snorkelling trip is also included
  • Guayaquil... you'll go on a city tour visiting the Malecón 2000, Parque Iguanas (a park where you can see iguanas) and the vibrant neighbourhood of Las Peñas
