Hotel details
Begin at the 4-star Drift Nashville. This modern resort is in Nashville's East Bank area. There's an outdoor pool, a cafe, and a sun room at the hotel. You can reach the city's Music Valley in less than 20 minutes by taxi. Here, you'll find the iconic Grand Ole Opry, the Opry Mills shopping center, and the Music Valley Village. 

Continue to Memphis, where you'll stay at Canopy by Hilton Memphis Downtown Beale Street. You'll be 10 minutes' walk from Beale Street. Wander down to this famous strip to grab a drink from one of the city's distinctive beer windows and spend an evening hopping among the downtown's famous rock, jazz and blues joints. You'll also be 10 minutes' walk from the Orpheum Theatre and within 15 minutes' drive of Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley. 

Your final stop will be in New Orleans for a stay at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. This hotel sits at the edge of the French Quarter historic district, with great access to its rollicking jazz clubs and the restaurants of Bourbon Street. You'll also be able to sample some of the best po' boys, cocktails, oysters, muffulettas, gumbo and jambalaya that the South has to offer.

Be sure to join in with the Mardi Gras celebrations. You'll be ideally placed by the French Quarter, where the majority of the festivities will take place. Watch the parades go by, listen to marching bands, and collect the beads thrown from floats.
