The 5-star Savoy Sharm el Sheikh sits beside a private beach on the Red Sea.

There are three swimming pools in the extensive palm-dotted grounds. Two of these are heated between December and March. The spa has a sauna, a steam room, and a Jacuzzi. You can work out in the gym, play tennis or squash, or join aerobics sessions. Banana-boat rides, snorkelling, parasailing, and windsurfing are available for additional fees.

Meals and 24-hour drinks are included at 10 restaurants and 10 bars; some are adults-only. Late risers will appreciate breakfast until 11:30am, while night owls can dine until 2am. À la carte options include Italian, Thai, tapas, seafood, and more. Some venues are at SOHO Square mall, directly opposite the resort. Daily snacks, ice cream, afternoon tea, and minibar refills are also covered.

You'll stay in a 45-square-metre room with views over the Red Sea. There's a marble bathroom with a walk-in shower, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Laundry service—cleaning and pressing; seven pieces per person, per stay— is included. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
