Skukuza Safari Lodge is in the world-renowned Kruger National Park, one of the best places to see African wilderness up close. You'll go on game drives every day, so you'll have a good chance of spotting the Big Five (lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo). All your meals are included in the lodge's restaurant, which serves both à la carte and buffet options. The lodge also puts on bush braais—South African barbecues under the stars. Facilities include a spa, a shop, and a gym with an outdoor swimming pool.
Anelia Resort & Spa is a beachfront hotel on Mauritius' west coast, perfectly positioned for sunsets. It's a 10-minute walk from the village of Flic-en-Flac. There are two outdoor infinity pools with ocean views, plus a relaxing spa. All your meals are included at the main restaurant, which serves a variety of cuisines and themed dinners buffet-style. There's also a beach grill and a burger bar. Sip cocktails and watch the sunset from the aptly named Sunset Bar, which offers a drinks service on the beach.
