Dubai hotel details
Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina by IHG has excellent walkability in a sought-after area of the city. It has direct access to a pedestrian promenade lined with waterfront cafes and restaurants. An upmarket mall with a cinema is next door. The buzzing beachside boulevard of The Walk at JBR is a 10-minute stroll away.

Take a refreshing dip in the pool, work out at the gym, or book a massage at the spa. Enjoy breakfast (included) at the Lo+Cale Restaurant. There's an international and a Thai restaurant. Drinks, including alcoholic beverages, are also available from two bars between 7am–2am. You'll stay in a room with views over the marina, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Wi-Fi is free throughout.

Ras Al Khaimah hotel details
You'll spend five nights at the luxurious InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa. This resort is a great place to unwind where the desert and rugged mountains meet the Arabian Gulf.

Walk through the flower- and palm-filled garden and past the infinity pool to the private beach. There's a bouncy platform with climbing walls and slides in the warm sea. Active guests can work out in the gym. Kayaking, jet skiing, stand-up paddle boarding are available for a fee.

The all-inclusive board covers daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main Saffar Restaurant. Select non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are available there and the pool bar, between 11am–10pm. À la carte restaurants, a Levantine and a chic New York-style bistro among them, are available for a supplement.

Take in sea views from your private furnished balcony. Your room has a walk-in shower and a soaking tub. Tea- and coffee-making facilities are at hand, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.

As part of your holiday, you'll head out on a jeep safari in the desert, where you can admire a fiery sunset and enjoy a barbecue dinner under the stars.
