Itinerary
- Day 1... receive a traditional welcome with garlands at your Delhi hotel. Spend time at leisure exploring the city's bazaars and cafes.
- Day 2... travel to Agra, famous for the breath-taking Taj Mahal. Visit this world-famous monument in the early morning. Next, journey to the UNESCO-listed Agra Fort.
- Day 3... after breakfast, begin the drive to Jaipur, stopping at the Abhaneri Stepwell en route. This is one of the largest and oldest stepwells in the world. It showcases ancient Indian engineering.
- Day 4... follow your guide on a full-day tour of the city. Begin at the Amber Fort, a grand fortress of red sandstone and white marble. Explore inside, then continue to the City Palace, the home of the Indian Royal Family. See the Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century astronomical observatory. Look out for the iconic Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) during the drive back to the hotel.
- Day 5... spend the day uncovering both the old and new sides of Delhi. Begin in Old Delhi at the Raj Ghat—Mahatma Gandhi memorial—and the Red Fort. Spend time at Jama Masjid, India's oldest mosque, then wander through the markets in Chandni Chowk. In New Delhi, visit the Laxmi Narayan Temple and the India Gate war memorial. See Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President, and the Qutub Minar, India's tallest stone tower. Finish at the tranquil Lotus Temple.
- Day 6... time to transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
