Itinerary

• San Jose... arrive in the evening of your first day. You'll be collected from the airport and taken to your hotel for the night.
  
• Tortuguero... experience Costa Rica's natural beauty with two nights in Tortuguero National Park. Visit the nearby village of Tortuguero, learn about the efforts to protect endangered sea turtles, and enjoy a tour and canal ride through the rainforest.
• Arenal... take in the view of the imposing Arenal volcano on your first night (weather dependent), then go on a guided sloth tour in the La Fortuna area. With a mineral-rich habitat, there will be plenty of different species of wildlife to spot on your trek. Finish off with a trip to Lake Arenal, Costa Rica's largest lake, where a boat will take you towards your next stop.
• Monteverde... traverse the treetops of the Monteverde Cloud Forest with a hanging bridges experience. Made up of three kilometres of jungle path and suspended bridges, it is a unique way to take in your lush surroundings.
• Manuel Antonio... head toward the coast for this stop. You'll have some time at leisure to enjoy picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean, before embarking on a nature walk through the area's national park. 
• Piedras Blancas... the southern rainforest in Costa Rica will be your base next. Local birds and other wildlife have been known to stray onto the grounds of your accommodation, such is it's proximity to nature. A guided walk through the area will take you even closer to the surroundings, with white-faced capuchin and squirrel monkeys known to call the jungle home.
• Savegre Valley... the final destination of your Costa Rican experience. Stay for two nights here and take the opportunity to explore the cloud forest at your own leisure. Keep an eye out for the Resplendent Quetzal, a local bird recognized for its green plumage and bright, red chest.

You will then spend one final night in San Jose before your return flight.
