Itinerary highlights
Delhi... enjoy the contrast of both the old and new cities on a guided tour. You'll see one of Asia's largest mosques, the Red Fort, and Humayun's Tomb. Plus, take a rickshaw ride around the colourful streets of Chandni Chowk.
Agra... travel by airconditioned train to Agra and tour the unforgettable Taj Mahal. In the afternoon, visit the majestic Agra Fort. This walled city is filled with palaces, mosques, and residences.
Jhansi… climb the hilltop fort and take in cityscape views before a short drive to the village of Orchha to explore ancient temples.
Khajuraho… visit the impressive temples and erotic stone carvings of Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These stunning sculptures "make up some of the finest temple art in the world" (Lonely Planet).
Bandhavgarh National Park… look out for elephants, tigers, leopards, barking deer, migratory birds, and reptile species during a dusk and dawn jeep safari.
Kanha National Park… this setting inspired Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book". Spend two full days spotting rare wildlife. Explore vast grasslands and forests home to tigers, leopards, jackals, and wild boars. Look out for the sambar, nilgai, swamp deer, and the scarce four-horned chousingha. The park is home to over 200 bird species.
You'll then drive to Jabalpur and fly to Delhi for your flight home.
