Itinerary
Fly into Lima, where you'll be picked up from the airport. Get acquainted with the city on a full-day tour. Visit the UNESCO-listed Old Town, the cathedral, the Larco Museum, and the Casa Aliaga.

You'll then spend the night in Arequipa before a scenic drive to the Colca Valley. Visit the renowned Cruz del Condor, a breathtaking viewpoint looking out over the canyon. This is a great spot to see the majestic Andean condors that soar gracefully overhead. You'll also visit Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, and Yanque—villages with their own unique charm.

It's then onto Puno. Take the scenic route there, via petrified forests and blue lakes teeming with flamingos. Puno is the gateway to Lake Titicaca. Take a motorboat to the floating Uros Islands, built from reeds that grow in the lake. Then, head to Taquile Island, which has been recognised by UNESCO for its textile artistry. Have a traditional lunch with local islanders, followed by cultural performances, before heading back to Puno for the night.

You'll then transfer by bus to Cusco, passing through some spectacular sights en route. The next morning, ride the train up to Aguas Calientes, and visit Machu Picchu. This incredible citadel is considered one of the most significant archaeological sites in the world. You'll spend the night in Aguas Calientes, giving you the opportunity to see Machu Picchu again at sunrise.

Finally, you'll have some free time to explore the city of CuscoViews of the Andean mountains abound all over the city. Wander the cobbled colonial streets, and head out after dark to sample some pisco sours. Finally, fly back to Lima for one night before your flight home.
