Itinerary highlights
After touching down in Amman, you'll be met by your guide at the airport and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay. You'll start your trip with an excursion to the 12th-century medieval castle of Ajloun. Your journey will then continue along the King’s Highway, which has been mentioned in the Bible, to the ancient city ruins of Jerash.

On day three, you'll explore the historic desert castles of Qasr Kharaneh, Qasr Amra, and Qasr Azraq. The tour continues in Amman, where you'll visit the Citadel and the Archaeological Museum.

The next morning set off to Madaba, home to an ancient and intricate mosaic of the Holy Land. Mount Nebo is said to be where Moses first saw the Promised Land. You'll also visit Shobak Castle, a Crusader castle that dates from the 1100s.

You'll then have a full day to explore the ancient, rose-coloured city of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hidden by time and shifting sand, Petra tells of a lost civilisation.

Your final excursion will be to Wadi Rum, known as the Valley of the Moon, because of its otherworldly desert landscape. Enjoy lunch at Sun City camp, then travel down to the Dead Sea 400 metres below sea level, where the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are thought to be buried beneath its waters. Float in the Dead Sea, which is famous for its relaxation and healing properties.

After your last night in Amman, you will have breakfast, before heading to the airport to catch your flight back to the UK.
