Itinerary
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and transported to your hotel in Beijing. The next day, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Great Wall of China. This impressive fortification has also been designated one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. On your way back to Beijing, stop at the Olympic Park and explore the Bird's Nest Stadium and the Water Cube National Aquatics Center. 

On day four, travel to Tiananmen Square, the site of several important events in Chinese history. In the afternoon, venture to one of Beijing’s enchanting hútòng (ancient alleyways). You'll also visit the Buddhist Miaoying Temple. On day five, you'll have free time to explore the city.

Next, take a high-speed bullet train to Xi'an and spend the afternoon exploring at your own pace. The following morning, you'll see the world-famous Terracotta Army, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This ancient Buddhist pagoda is one of the oldest surviving structures of its kind in China. 

On day nine, you'll transfer to the airport for a flight to Guilin. Enjoy a boat cruise on the Li River, and walk along the lively West Street. The next day, visit Elephant Trunk Hill and a local pearl factory.

Your final destination is Shanghai, where you'll be greeted by your guide and driver. Whilst in Shanghai you'll get a guided half day tour—visit the traditional Yu Garden, the Shanghai Museum, and pay a visit to an authentic silk factory. Fly home from Shanghai to the UK.
