Itinerary highlights
- Kochi... walk along narrow streets and through bustling markets. Take a harbour cruise to see spider-like Chinese fishing nets by the shoreline. You could watch a Kathakali performance, featuring music, drama, and storytelling.
- Munnar... visit tea and spice plantations to see how the crops are grown. You'll be close to Anaimudi, the highest peak in South India.
- Thekkady... take a boat ride on Lake Periyar in search of wildlife. Periyar National Park is known for its rich variety of bird life.
- Kumarakom... spend two nights relaxing on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Visit the local bird sanctuary or villages nearby.
- Kerala... spend a night on a traditional houseboat and discover the region's glistening backwaters. These vessels are known as a kettuvallam and are held together entirely by coconut ropes.
- Alleppey... disembark the houseboat and spend the next day and night exploring this backwater destination. Take an afternoon tour of the local coir (or coconut fibre) factory.
- Kovalam... finish your trip with a luxury stay by the beach. Take an excursion to Kanyakumari, known as 'The Lands End' of India, to see where the India Ocean, Arabian Sea, and the Bay of Bengal meet.
You'll then transfer to the airport to board your flight home.
