Itinerary
- Sigiriya... start the tour with an excursion to the beautiful village of Hiriwadunna. Sail across the river on a catamaran to a farmer's home, where you'll have a short cooking demonstration, and share a traditional meal. Visit the Watadage relic house, admire the Nissankamalla Council Chamber and visit the Parakrama Samudraya, an ancient manmade reservoir.
- Kandy... en route here, you'll visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, adorned with painted murals and Buddha statues. Your next stop is the Matale spice garden, home to Sri Lanka's famous cinnamon. At dusk, you'll see the Temple of the Tooth. This sacred temple is said to hold a piece of the Buddha's tooth. You'll get a sightseeing tour of Kandy, and in the evening, you'll be treated to a traditional show of centuries-old music and dance.
- Nuwara Eliya... ride a blue heritage train past tea plantations, picturesque villages, and rushing waterfalls. Once you've arrived, you are free to explore in the notably cooler climate.
- Yala... continue onwards to Yala National Park where you'll get a Jeep safari. Spot the dazzling array of wildlife including elephants, spotted deer, wild boar, crocodiles, water buffalo, and perhaps the elusive leopard.
- Bentota... is your final destination where you can relax on golden beaches, before flying home.
