About the artist
Rebecca Lucy Taylor, also known as Self Esteem, is a multi-talented instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. She was originally part of 2-person band Slow Club, then set out on her solo career in 2017. Since then, she's achieved Brit Award and Mercury Prize nominations, as well as winning BBC Music Introducing artist of the year in 2021. She also won the Visionary Award at the Ivor Novello Awards in 2025, which honours excellence in music writing. In 2023–24, Rebecca starred as Sally Bowles in "Cabaret" on the West End.
Self Esteem is best known for "I Do This All the Time", as well as "Focus is Power", which featured prominently as a motivational anthem for the England Lionesses. Since her breakthrough album "Prioritise Pleasure", Self Esteem released her newest album "A Complicated Woman" last year.
