About the show
The Ustinov's Christmas show, "The Last Five Years", is a humorous and earnest tale of the romance between two New Yorkers. One is a young writer and the other an aspiring actress. As the story unfolds, Jamie's perspective begins at the start of the relationship, when new romance abounds, and continues chronologically. Whereas Cathy starts at the end of the story, as she reflects on her lost love, before returning to first-date butterflies. Timelines then cross on their wedding day. Jamie is played by Guy Woolf, who recently received a Broadway World nomination for his recent roles in "The Cher Show", "As You Like It", and the "Beanstalk". Martha Kirby is Cathy. Martha has played Raven in the UK tour of "Bat Out Of Hell", Bella Cohen in "Rags", and Sandy in the UK tour of "Grease". Music in this semi-autobiographical musical is courtesy of acclaimed composer and lyricist, Jason Robert Brown, who holds three Tony Awards.
