About the show
Tony-award winner Des McAnuff directs this musical biopic tracing the lives of Johnny Cash and June Carter, born into the famous country music dynasty. It's narrated from the unique perceptive of their son, John Carter Cash, and follows the couple's first backstage encounter and rapid rise to fame, to their tumultuous life on the road. The narrative highlights the highs and lows of their lives, including the birth of their son, as well as Johnny's infidelity during his first marriage, and battle with substance abuse.
Christopher Ryan Grant ("Million Dollar Quartet") plays Johnny and Christina Bianco ("Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "The Wizard of Oz") takes the role of June, supported by a live band.
