About the event
Christmas at Kew will occupy the 300-acre botanic garden. The festive light trail has garnered annual praise, becoming a key date in the Christmas calendar. The Times names it on its list of the best UK Christmas light trails for 2025. The acclaimed gardens will be transformed with twinkling lights, lakeside reflections, glittering tunnels, and more.
The after-dark event will feature spectacular displays of lights, water, and illuminations. Highlights will include a 3-metre tall illuminated flower, and a Christmas cathedral covered with thousands of fairy lights. The venue's glass houses and trees will be lit up with a variation of colourful hues. As well as the visually pleasing displays, there will be winter snacks and drinks along the way. Make sure to stop at Santa's grotto to get on Santa's nice list.

Holiday Inn - Brentford Lock is a 4-star riverside hotel. It's a 15-minute drive to Kew Gardens. Before your night-trail, you can wander into Richmond for a riverside bite to eat and mooch around the independent shops. Richmond is less than a 20-minute journey from the hotel.
