About the event
The Barbarians are gearing up for their next game. Two high-calibre rugby union teams, packed with world renowned players, will compete at one of rugby's most prestigious stadiums. The Barbarians and Wales share a proud history stretching back to 1915. Wales last played the Barbarians in November 2023 in Cardiff when the hosts won 49-26 in an 11-try uncapped encounter. The game also marks preparation for the Nations Championship in July, when Wales will face Fiji, Argentina, and South Africa.
The event also sees the return of the Welsh women after the first double-header fixture in 2019 at the Principality Stadium. The Barbarians edged that game 29-15. The Barbarian women's squad formed in 2017 and have since played the USA, England, Wales, and South Africa.
Some of the biggest rugby names will be coming to London for a high-scoring affair between the four teams. Under Barbarians' coach Scott Robertson, top international talent such as Tom Willis (England), Gael Fickou (France), Levani Botia (Fiji), Sevu Reece (New Zealand), plus many others, have been invited for this action-packed summer fixture.
