About the show
"INALA", which means "abundance of goodwill" in Zulu, brings together a fusion of South African and Western culture. The performance celebrates diversity through captivating song and dance. It features music co-composed by the late Joseph Shabalala (founder of Ladysmith Black Mambazo) and Ella Spira MBE (co-founder of Sisters Grimm).
The show originally premiered at the Edinburgh International Festival in 2014. Since, it has been seen around world and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best World Music Album. It's now back on the West End at the House of Sisters Grimm. This close-up, intimate setting brings the story to life. The venue features a South African wine bar and an onsite multimedia gallery, which you can explore after the show. There's also an all-new cast of South African singer-dancers. Plus, narration by Ndaba Mandela, grandson of Nelson Mandela.
