Itinerary
Begin with two nights in Seattle. You'll stay within 10 minutes' drive of some of the city's best-loved attractions, such as the Space Needle, the Woodland Park Zoo, and the Seattle Aquarium. You can use your CityPASS at all these sights.
Next, join MSC Poesia and call at:
- Ketchikan... wander the historic boardwalk of Creek Street. Once the red-light district, it is now a popular spot for dining and shopping. Make sure to see the totem poles whilst you're here.
- Icy Strait Point... this port is owned and operated by Native Americans. You could go in search of whales and bears or walk into Hoonah, an Alaskan Tlingit settlement (supplements apply).
- Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier... spend the day cruising this magnificent narrow fjord. Admire cascading waterfalls and jagged mountains, then be wowed by the 600-foot-tall Dawes Glacier.
- Juneau... this is the only US capital that cannot be reached by road. Exit the cruise terminal and hop aboard the Mount Roberts Tramway, which rises 1800 feet for spectacular views over the city.
- Victoria... the capital of British Colombia, this charming city is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Wander through the colourful Fisherman's Wharf neighbourhood, explore the vibrant Chinatown, or visit Butchart Gardens.
- Seattle... time to disembark the ship and return home.
Ship details
MSC Poesia is a large cruise ship that carries a little over 2500 passengers at full capacity. There is plenty to do on board—relax in the piano bar, watch a theatre show, sing karaoke, or try your luck in the casino. During the day you could take a cooking class, visit the spa, or take a dip in one of the swimming pools.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the two main dining rooms. Menus change daily, so there's always plenty to choose from, and there's table service. There is also a buffet restaurant. You could sample sushi at the ship's speciality restaurant, or head to the Mojito Bar for ice cream (supplements apply).
