Itinerary

  • Koblenz...  sits at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Join an orientation walking tour to visit Deutsches Eck—the point where the rivers meet—the Old Town, and the Town Hall.
  • Königswinter... this picturesque town is overlooked by the ruins of Drachenfels castle. Travel to the summit of Drachenfels Mountain aboard Drachenfelsbahn, Germany's oldest rack and pinion railway. Explore the castle, or visit the hill-top cafe.
  • Cochem... huddled on the lush slopes of the Moselle Valley, this town has rows of pretty timber-framed houses. Head to a local venue for a wine tasting experience.
  • Treis-Karden... admire the St Castor's church, famous for its perfectly preserved towers. You'll take a walking tour to learn more about the town. Alternatively, visit the nearby Moselland Museum for insight into village life in the '50s and '60s.
  • Boppard... spend time exploring this classic Rhineland wine town on a guided tour. See the twin towers of St Severus Church and the surrounding vineyards. The town is known for its Roman ruins and Medieval fortress walls and buildings
  • Mainz... wander through the Old Town, with its half-timbered buildings and Medieval market squares, to Mainz Cathedral. See the exterior of Gutenberg Museum, dedicated to Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of the mechanical movable-type printing press.
