Itinerary
- Day 1... transfer to the ship in Würzburg, which straddles the Main River. Spend the evening relaxing.
- Day 2... take a guided tour of Würzburg's Baroque Residence Palace. Afterwards, either return to the ship for some downtime, or join a walking tour of the city.
- Day 3... arrive in Miltenberg by midday. This picturesque city is nicknamed the Pearl of the Main. The Old Town, with its cobblestone streets and half-timbered houses, is surrounded by ancient walls. Depart Miltenberg in the evening and cruise overnight.
- Day 4... wake in historic Aschaffenburg. Spend time exploring the oldest part of the city with a walking tour. Stop at Castle Square, overlooked by the 17th-century Johannisburg Palace. Set sail in the evening****.
- Day 5... enjoy a walking tour or panoramic drive of Frankfurt before some free time to explore this modern city.
- Day 6... spend the morning cruising through the scenic Middle Rhine Gorge, passing the mythical Lorelei Rock as you travel to Boppard. Upon arrival, sample local wines with an included excursion in this classic Rhineland wine town. Depart for Koblenz in the evening.
- Day 7... Koblenz sits at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers and is overlooked by the imposing Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Discover the town's sights on a walking tour.
- Day 8... time to disembark the ship for your journey home.
Ship details
Spirit of the Moselle is a 5-star river ship, with sleek decor and pastel tones throughout. The vessel launched in July of 2025 and has become Saga's third purpose-built river ship.
The main Panorama restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The speciality Beilstein restaurant is open for a light lunch or dinner reservation. Complimentary wine, beer, and soft drinks are available with meals. Sip on selected all-inclusive drinks from 9am to midnight, with a choice of house branded spirits with mixers or selected cocktails, draught lager, and soft drinks. Passengers can also help themselves to tea, coffee, and biscuits throughout the day.
There's a sun deck with a splash pool and sun loungers, and an area for games. Relax in the library lounge, or head to the gym for a workout.
