Itinerary highlights
- Mainz... arrive and embark Spirit of the Rhine. Spend the evening settling into your cabin and exploring the ship.
- Rüdesheim... dock overnight in the heart of Germany's wine-growing region. Wind your way through the narrow street of Drosselgasse, which is lined with traditional taverns. While there, you'll visit Siegfried's Museum of Mechanical Music, set in a 15th-century knight's residence.
- Koblenz... enjoy a scenic morning cruise through the UNESCO-listed Middle Rhine Gorge. Dock in Koblenz overnight and join an included orientation walking tour. Visit the point where the rivers meet (Deutsches Eck), or ride the cable car across the water.
- Cologne... see city's Medieval Old Town on a walking tour, or opt for a tour of the UNESCO-listed Cologne Cathedral.
- Boppard... boasting over 2000 years of history, Boppard sits in the valley of the mythical Lorelei rock. This afternoon, enjoy an included wine tasting session onboard the ship.
- Mainz... dock here overnight on your last night. Admire the city's Medieval market squares and half-timbered houses on an included walking tour.
About the ship
Spirit of the Rhine is a 5-star river ship, with sleek decor and pastel tones throughout.
The main restaurant offers four or five courses during evening meals. Complimentary wine, beer, and soft drinks are available with lunch and dinner. Sip on all-inclusive drinks from 9am to midnight. High tea is served once per week, and a selection of sandwiches and cakes daily. Passengers can also help themselves to tea, coffee, and biscuits throughout the day.
There's a sun deck with a splash pool and sun loungers, and an area for games. You'll also be able to order drinks to your deck chair. Relax in the library lounge, or head to the gym for a workout.
