Itinerary
Join the ship in Mainz and spend the night getting to know your fellow passengers and settling into your cabin. You'll then call at...
- Rüdesheim... this wine town is known for its Medieval market squares and half-timbered houses. Visit Siegfried's Museum of Mechanical Music, set in a 15th-century knight's residence.
- Koblenz... soak up picturesque scenery as you cruise through the Middle Rhine Gorge. You'll then join a guided walking tour.
- Cologne... choose between a city walking tour or a tour of UNESCO-listed Cologne Cathedral. There are also baroque palaces, Medieval churches, and a 16th-century City Hall to admire.
- Mainz... spend the morning cruising back to this charming town. In the afternoon, join a guided walking tour of the Old Town. The ship will dock here overnight.
It'll then be time to disembark the ship and return home.
Ship details
Spirit of the Moselle launched in 2025 as Saga's latest purpose-built river ship. It carries 182 passengers and specialises in cruising for the over-50s. The main deck has floor-to-ceiling windows so you can always see daily life on the riverbank. The main lounge has a café, library, and self-serve tea and coffee. There are two restaurants and all meals are included, as well as daily high tea.
