Itinerary highlights
Kick off the holiday with a 2-night stay in Rio de Janeiro. Visit the golden beaches, delicious restaurants, and samba shows.
Next, fly onward for a 2-night stay by Iguazú Falls. A visit is a "jaw-dropping, visceral experience", says Lonely Planet. Tour the Argentinian side, then continue to Foz do Iguaçu to discover the Brazilian side during a 1-night stay.
Finish the land tour with an overnight stay in Buenos Aires. You have a day to explore at your own pace. Make sure you pack in a tango show and an unforgettable steak dinner (supplements apply).
The next morning, embark on Celebrity Equinox and cruise to:
- Montevideo, Uruguay... a whirlwind of cobblestone streets, tango music, and great wine.
- Puerto Madryn, Argentina... penguins and elephant seals live near this vibrant coastal city.
- Cape Horn, Chile... sail past the continent's southern tip, where the Pacific meets the Atlantic.
- Ushuaia, Argentina... famous as the "end of the world", it's the entry point to wild Patagonia.
- Punta Arenas, Chile... a vibrant city surrounded by the Andes mountains and Patagonian steppe.
- Strait of Magellan... admire glittering blue glaciers and look out for Magellanic penguins.
- Valparaiso, Chile... take in the city's colourful hillside houses and ride the historic funicular.
You'll leave the ship in Valparaiso and transfer to Santiago, Chile's capital city, for a 2-night stay. Spend time exploring the city at leisure.
Begin your tour of Peru, starting with two nights in the Sacred Valley. This lush valley winds its way through the Andes. You'll visit the Heritage Salt Mines of Maras during your time here.
Continue to the mighty Machu Picchu for a full-day tour. Take a scenic train journey to the archaeological site, then follow your guide to the Inca citadel.
Next, head to Cusco for two nights. This was once the heart of the Inca Empire, and you can spend your days exploring artisan markets and discovering the city's history and culture.
Finish with one night in Lima, then fly home.
