Itinerary
Fly into Cape Town, and spend two nights at a 5-star waterfront hotel. The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is a 20-minute drive away. Then, board Seven Seas Navigator for a 20-night cruise, calling at:
- Walvis Bay, Namibia... this coastal town is a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 150 species in the lagoon. If you fancy something more adventurous, you can go sandboarding on Dune 7, the highest sand dune in the country.
- Sao Tome & Principe... this tropical paradise offers a mix of lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and a plethora of wildlife.
- Lome, Togo... the beach-lined capital of Lome offers a glimpse into authentic West African life. Visit the National Museum to see examples of Togolese art and history, or shop for souvenirs at the Lome Grand Market.
- Sekondi, Ghana... join an excursion to the tropical rainforest of Kakum National Park and explore its lush, canopy walkways. Or, go for a drive through the urban twin city Sekondi-Takoradi, and learn about its colonial history.
- Abijan, Ivory Coast... known as 'the Paris of West Africa', Abidjan is the second-largest French-speaking city in the world. Peruse artisan stalls at the open-air market, or wander the Le Plateau district, with its striking modern African architecture.
- Dakar, Senegal... the capital boasts an outstanding music scene and French flair. Shop for bargains at Kermel market, or take in sweeping views from Les Mamelles lighthouse.
- Mindelo, Cape Verde... is on the island of Sao Vincente. It's home to a replica of Lisbon's Belem Tower, or you can visit Catfish Bay, with its volcanically-formed lagoon.
- Tenerife, Canary Islands... rich in biodiversity and natural beauty, Tenerife is the "striking grande dame" of the Canaries (Lonely Planet). The bustling capital, Santa Cruz, is a handsome city to keep you busy for the day. Or, explore Teide National Park.
Disembark in Lisbon for your flight home.
Ship details
Seven Seas Navigator is a luxury, 490-passenger vessel, and the smallest in the Regent fleet. An all-suite ship, it aims for quiet luxury, pampering guests without being over the top.
There are four dining options onboard, including the main dining room, as well as an Italian venue and a steakhouse. You can also have breakfast and lunch at the buffet restaurant. During the day, you can find activities from mini golf and shuffleboard to bingo to seminars on deck. If you fancy some pampering, you can book a treatment at the plush spa.
