Itinerary highlights
- Three nights in Sydney... this multi-night stay gives you plenty of time to explore the city. Wander the vibrant Surry Hills neighbourhood, relax at Bondi Beach, or travel further afield to the Blue Mountains.
- Mooloolaba, Australia... relax like the Australians do at this chilled-out coastal town. There's a calm sheltered beach, and you could spot dolphins in the estuary.
- Cairns, Australia... this is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Plenty of daytrips depart from the harbour. Or, you could explore further away in Daintree Rainforest or the Kuranda Scenic Railway.
- Darwin, Australia (overnight in port)... most ships just stay one day here. Stopping overnight means you can enjoy the nightlife of Australia's most cosmopolitan city.
- Komodo Island, Indonesia... this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the world's largest living lizard. They can grow to three metres and weigh 11 stone.
- Lembar, Lombok, Indonesia... this is Bali's quieter, less-touristed sister island. Make port on the west coast, where you could opt to go snorkelling or visit Mount Rinjani, an active volcano.
- Benoa, Bali, Indonesia... stop in a resort town on the south of the island. We recommend visiting Uluwatu, a clifftop sea temple, and Ubud, a city surrounded by rice terraces.
- Semarang, Java, Indonesia... this port dates back to the Dutch colonial period. From here, you could visit Borobudur, a 9th-century Buddhist temple often compared to Angkor Wat.
- Singapore... your penultimate destination is packed with things to do. See the futuristic Cloud Forest at the Gardens by the Bay, or go hunting for bargains in Chinatown.
Finally, disembark in Bangkok and catch your flight back to the UK.
Ship details
Regatta is operated by Explorations by Norwegian in 2027. It has curated a series of port-focused itineraries, offering a variety of lengths and destinations.
Cruise Critic calls Regatta the "Goldilocks ship" as it's not too big, nor too small. Accommodating just 694 passengers, it never feels too crowded. During the day, you can relax by the swimming pool, or in the plush spa. In the evenings, you can catch a Broadway-style show, or sing along in the piano bar.
There are five dining options on board, all of which are included. Speciality options include an Italian restaurant, and a steak and seafood venue. There's also a poolside grill, a cafe, and the main dining room. This offers plenty of variety each day, including a "taste of the world" special at lunch times.
