Itinerary
- Mumbai (overnight on board)... experience exotic bazaars, hidden temples, delicious street foods, and the beating heart of Bollywood. You'll stay overnight in port here, meaning you could book onto a tour and still have time to wander round independently.
- Goa, India... visit its historic Portuguese churches and tropical spice plantations, wander the old Latin quarter in Panjim, or relax on golden beaches.
- Mangalore, India... is home to chilled-out beaches and sacred temples. Sample some traditional South Indian cuisine, like Mangalore buns or fish fries.
- Cochin, India... wander the vibrant streets of Fort Kochi, see the impressive Chinese fishing nets, or watch a traditional Kathakali performance.
- Colombo, Sri Lanka... old meets new in the country's capital. Stroll past colonial architecture and lush gardens in the Fort district.
- Hambantota, Sri Lanka... is a nature lover's dream. Admire the exotic blooms of Mirijawila Botanic Gardens or join a safari through Yala National Park, home to the world’s largest concentration of leopards and elephants.
- Phuket, Thailand... is full of white-gold beaches, national parks, a smattering of wildlife sanctuaries, and delicious spicy dim sum. You could join a snorkelling trip, book an excursion to James Bond Island, or simply kick back on the beach.
- Langkawi, Malaysia... is an archipelago off the coast of Malaysia, and the cruise port is close to Kuah, the main city. Explore the waterfalls and mangrove forests, or take a boat trip.
- Penang, Malaysia... "delivers old-world Asia in spades," says Lonely Planet, "from trishaws pedalling past watermarked Chinese shophouses to blue joss smoke perfuming the air".
- Port Klang (for Kuala Lumpur)... travel inland independently to tour Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia. Head up to the Batu Caves to see the rainbow staircase and 140-foot-high golden Hindu statue.
- Singapore... disembark here for your flight home.
Ship details
Explorations by Norwegian is a curated series of port-focused itineraries, offering a variety of lengths and destinations.
Cruise Critic calls Regatta the "Goldilocks ship" as it's not too big, nor too small. Accommodating just 694 passengers, it never feels too crowded. During the day, you can relax by the swimming pool, or in the plush spa. In the evenings, you can catch a Broadway-style show, or sing along in the piano bar.
There are five dining options on board, all of which are included. Speciality options include an Italian restaurant, and a steak and seafood venue. There's also a poolside grill, a cafe, and the main dining room. This offers plenty of variety each day, including a "taste of the world" special at lunch times.
