Itinerary
- Limassol, Cyprus... this vibrant city on the southern coast of Cyprus is known for its excellent food and great weather. Take a walk along the bustling seafront, which is lined with cafes and bars, visit the ancient ruins of Kourion, or enjoy the blue waters of the marina.
- Alexandria, Egypt... some passengers use this port as a gateway to Cairo, around two and a half hours away. You could also visit Bibliotecha Alexandria, a huge cultural complex paying tribute to the classical Library of Alexandria.
- Marmaris, Turkey... this stop is nestled in the Turkish Riviera and boasts pretty beaches, a historic castle, and a 16th-century Turkish bath.
- Istanbul, Turkey... wander through the Grand Bazaar to browse the colourful stalls filled with spices, jewellery, and unique treasures. Alternatively, visit the stunning Hagia Sophia, or discover the opulent Topkapi Palace. You'll stay overnight, so no need to hurry back to the ship.
- Piraeus, Greece... make your final stop here for travel inland to ancient Athens. Then, board your flight home.
Ship details
Balmoral is the smallest of the three ships in Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' fleet. It carries 1,350 passengers at full capacity. There is a warm and friendly feel onboard.
Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, and an afternoon tea is served every day. Enjoy finger sandwiches, scones, and cakes. Dine at Fred. Olsen's speciality restaurant, for a supplement, to sample Asian, Grill, or Italian cuisine.
