Itinerary
Stay overnight at a city centre hotel in Barcelona. Take a leisurely 25-minute walk to Sagrada Família, or hop in a taxi and arrive within 15 minutes. We recommend visiting as the sun sets, when the sun's glow brings the stained glass windows to life.
The next day, join Norwegian Epic and call at:
- Marseille, France... has a fascinating blend of French and North African influences. Wander the artsy old quarter of Le Panier, or explore Provence's rolling countryside (excursions available at a supplement).
- Villefranche, France... this charming town is known for its pastel-hued harbour. It's also the gateway for day trips to jet-set locations such as Nice, Monaco, and Antibes (supplements apply).
- Livorno, Italy... this pretty port boasts grand Medici-era canals and a vibrant foodie scene. You could visit Renaissance Florence or Pisa, famous for its Leaning Tower on an optional excursion for an extra fee.
- Messina, Italy... sample traditional Sicilian cuisine along the colourful seafront. Explore the city's historic churches, or people-watch from bustling piazzas.
- Salerno, Italy... serves as the jumping off point for the Amalfi Coast. You can hop aboard a ferry and reach Amalfi within 35 minutes (extra fees apply).
- Civitavecchia, Italy... time to depart the ship and return home.
Ship details
Cruise Critic gives Norwegian Epic top marks for entertainment, saying it's "jam-packed with 24/7 entertainment". Pick from several theatres and clubs, including a recreation of the Cavern Club, the early Liverpool haunt of The Beatles. Its other facilities include multiple dining options, an open-air aqua park, and a full-service spa (spa treatments at a supplement).
The ship underwent refurbishments in 2025, refreshing the top deck to add more space to relax. Extra cabins were also added, plus a new Vibe Beach Club (supplements apply). This adults-only lounging area has a hot tub and private cabanas.
