Itinerary highlights
Embark on your week-long cruise in Valletta, calling at:
- Civitavecchia… stroll along the seafront promenade to the 16th-century fort on the edge of the old town. Or, join a tour to Rome, an hour's drive inland (shore excursions are chargeable).
- Livorno… drop anchor at this pretty gateway to Tuscany's rolling countryside and world-famous food. It takes just 20 minutes to travel to Pisa by train, so you can climb the Leaning Tower during your journey.
- Cannes… wander the cobbled streets in Le Suquet old quarter, or sip a glass of rosé at a beach club. Glamorous hotspots of the French Riviera are easy to reach: Antibes is just 10 minutes, while Monaco is an hour-long train journey away.
- Ajaccio… sail to Corsica for a taste of island life. Learn all about its most famous resident at the Maison Napoleon.
Enjoy two days at sea in between ports, and conclude your cruise back in Malta.
Ship details
Azura is a ship geared towards British travellers. Onboard prices are in pound sterling, and you can start your day with a full English breakfast. The ship's public spaces and accommodation underwent a multi-million pound refresh in March last year.
Three dining rooms are included in the full-board fare. There's normally a choice of six or seven main courses, with steak, chicken, and roast dinners nearly always available. The poolside pizzeria and grill are also covered, so is daily afternoon tea. Speciality dining options (for supplement) include posh curry house Sindhu, and The Epicurean, a fine-dining venue.
Evenings revolve around entertainment: theatre shows, live music, dance, and comedy shows are on offer. Films are shown at the SeaScreen open-air cinema, and there are plenty of games and competitions on the deck.
