Ship details
Cruise Critic says Silver Shadow is a "classically elegant ship", and is perfect for "savvy travelers who enjoy big time pampering". It only carries 382 passengers, meaning it feels more like a superyacht than a regular cruise ship. It also boasts one of the highest space-to-guest ratios at sea.
There are four fine-dining restaurants and an array of bars, with most drinks available any time, anywhere. The ship really comes into its own in warm weather, with a pool, two hot tubs, and a sizzling hot volcanic rock grill.
Vista Suites have a large window, a marble bathroom, and 24/7 room service.
Silversea Cruises has won numerous awards. These include Best Luxury Ocean Cruise Company at Travel Weekly's Globe Travel Awards for 2026, Best Cruise Line at the 2025 TTG Travel Awards, and Cruise Line of the Year at the 2025 Gourmet Traveller Hotel and Travel Awards.
