Itinerary

• Day 1... be picked up from the airport and welcomed aboard the ship. Spend the first evening on the Venetian Lagoon. 
• Day 2... visit Doge's Palace, then experience local Venetian life with a walk through a bustling neighbourhood. Join an after-hours visit to St Mark's Basilica for a lighting ceremony without any of the usual crowds. This excursion is only available to Uniworld guests. 
• Day 3... choose between a walking tour of fair Padua and a trip to Vicenza, home of the 16th-century Teatro Olimpico. Sail across the lagoon to Mazzorbo and Burano. Follow your Cruise Manager into Burano, famous for its colourful cottages, and visit a historic lace-making atelier. 
• Day 4... explore the northern lagoon today. Tour Torcello's basilica with an art historian, then stroll across the bridge to Mazzorbo. Discover the art of glassblowing with an afternoon visit to a workshop in Murano. 
• Day 5... pick from five excursions in and around coastal Chioggia. Sail aboard a traditional wooden boat to the Tenuta Ca’ Zen villa, then sample local wines, honeys, and cheeses. Visit a local market and go bike riding. Join a sommelier for a wine tasting at one of Europe's oldest wine estates. Explore the historic Palazzo Goldoni for tea and live music. 
• Day 6... sail on the UNESCO-protected Po Delta, Italy's largest nature reserve. This is where the Po River and the Adriatic Sea meet. Spot rare birds, red deer, Camargue horses, and an eye-catching colony of pink flamingos. Alternatively, visit the Castello del Catajo. 
• Day 7... there are four excursions available today. Tour the Dorsoduro district. Explore Venice on foot and visit a wine bar. See how Venice Carnival's intricate masks are made at an atelier. Learn how to row like a gondolier with an expert guide. 
• Day 8... time to disembark the ship for your return trip home. 

Ship details
S.S. La Venezia exclusively cruises the Venetian lagoon, with interiors inspired by elegant Venice. You'll find Murano glass, gilded accents, and fabrics handmade in Venice throughout the ship. 

Take in sweeping views across the lagoon from the sundeck, which has a full waiter service. Spend time at leisure with a game of chess or cards, or unwind with a book. Hari's Bar and Lounge is a sophisticated setting with panoramic windows, with a pianist in attendance each evening. There's also the Panini Bar, which is a more intimate space with a small library. 

Meals are served in Ristorante Rialto, with a hot-and-cold buffet each morning and buffet lunches. Sit down to an à la carte meal for dinner in the evenings. Cielo's pizzeria offers an alternative setting for dinner.
