Itinerary
Begin with three nights at the famous New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Get among the razzle-dazzle along the strip. The resort itself has plenty of entertainment, including its own roller-coaster, as well as a 150-foot replica of the Statue of Liberty.
Fly to Los Angeles and make your way to the Shade Hotel Redondo Beach, right next to the King Harbor marina. Take walks along the beachside promenade a few steps away. Or, visit Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, or famous film studios, just over 30 minutes away by taxi.
On day six, embark on a week-long voyage along Mexico's Pacific coast, calling at:
- Cabo San Lucas… desert landscapes meet blue waters along the rugged Baja California peninsula. Whale watching and snorkelling are popular activities (excursions are chargeable), and there's no shortage of excellent seafood restaurants.
- Mazatlán… a restored historic core and palm-fringed beaches put this alluring coastal town on travellers' maps. Visit colourful markets or a local brewery. Take a funicular to a hilltop observatory, or cruise through a mangrove forest.
- Puerto Vallarta… is a charming city backed by lush green mountains along the sparkling Banderas Bay. Browse shops in the old town, or taste locally-produced tequila at a hacienda (country house). Lazing at a trendy beach club along the Pacific is also a great option.
