Travelzoo's 10 Wow Destinations for Travel in 2017
We're not sure about you, but as one year comes to a close, the first thing we do is start planning our holidays for the one ahead. At Travelzoo HQ, part of this process involves us getting together and arguing about which destinations we think will offer great value or a top-class travel experience in the coming year.
Having done that, we've finally reached an agreement and it's time to unveil the 10 destinations we think you should be considering for 2017. And here they are:

It's a pretty diverse list. At one of end of the spectrum is Greenland (main picture, above), the very definition of the "road less travelled", a land of frozen wonders and wide-open spaces. Then, at the other end of the spectrum is Colombia - with years of civil war seemingly at an end, this exciting, exuberant South American gem is set to be one of the hottest tickets for 2017.
Elsewhere, Sri Lanka's expanding travel network makes it a more accessible option than ever before, and South Africa's status as the world's best-value long-haul destination keeps it on our list for the second year running. There's the odd unexpected entry here as well. Did you even know that Poland had a beautiful stretch of coastline within just two hours' flying time of the UK?
