20 Reasons You Should *Never* go to Marseille

10 May 2016

I grew up in Marseille in the south of France. It's tough living there, with all these afternoons at the beach, walks in the hills, and endless sunny days. Trust me, you certainly don't want to go there this summer and here are a few reasons why:

The weather is rubbish.

As a result, most people like to stay in.

They're probably worried about getting wet.

If you stop and look around, you'll notice it's a generally a pretty bland place.

And don't get me started on the sunsets.

Plus, the walls are covered with graffiti.

Not even for a drink.

There's nowhere nice to go out.

And you'll never find a good restaurant.

Nothing ever happens in the city.

There's no culture whatsoever.

And you can forget about doing any sport.

Or anything else fun, for that matter.

It just won't happen.

Overall, it's hard to see why anybody would want to live here.

Very, very, very hard.
