We enjoyed an excellent lunch but one negative was we ordered some 'mash' potato for two of us as it was being served on the other lunch dish and was told when the meal was served - Chef only has 2 portions left so unable to provide for you!!!!! Would we like some boiled potatoes instead which we agreed to but unfortunately, they came far too late to eat with the meal. For a 7* hotel we find it unbelievable that Chef would only cook an exact number of portions not only of the mash potato, but anything else. We do not understand why the Chef did not advise the Waiter immediately instead of waiting for the meal to be served. We brought the issue up with the Restaurant Manager who gave us a complimentary coffee/tea to compensate.

A wonderful hotel and staff are extremely polite, friendly and accommodating but over the years we have been visiting are now finding the Chef in the kitchen not quite so accommodating to additional requests! Al a Carte Menu is also served so unsure as to why a simple request cannot be dealt with by the kitchen.
