Why We Love This Deal
Explore Beaumaris, "the prettiest town on the island" of Anglesey (National Geographic). A 2-night break at Bishopsgate House Hotel is £159 for Travelzoo members. This includes breakfast, Welsh tea for two, and prosecco—and saves 51% against the hotel's direct flexible rates.
What's Included
Valid Sunday–Friday 30 January–31 March, 2026. Saturdays are £20 more, payable direct to the hotel
A 2-night stay for two people in a Double or Twin room, with daily full Welsh breakfast
A Welsh tea on day of arrival (served 10am–12pm and 3–5pm; worth £8.50 per person). Includes a choice of tea or coffee with Welsh cakes, bara brith, and strawberry preserve
A bottle of prosecco (worth £28.95)
It's £20 more per stay in April, payable direct to the hotel
Bishopsgate House Hotel was a Georgian townhouse built in the 18th century. It retains interesting period features, including wood panelling, antique furniture, and a Chinese Chippendale staircase.
The property has views of Beaumaris Green, the Menai Strait, and Snowdonia National Park.
Beaumaris Castle was built by King Edward I in the 13th century. It is five minutes' walk from the hotel.
Almost all of Anglesey's coastline is classed as a National Landscape. The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path is the best ways to experience it first hand. Route maps for each of the 12 sections can be found online. Hikes from Beaumaris to Penmon Point, to spot Puffin Island, take less than two hours.
Ynys Llanddwyn is a picturesque spot and a 40-minute drive from the hotel. The ruined church was once home to Saint Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers.

Our first visit to Anglesey was a classic “wet weekend in Wales” but the friendly welcome and comfort at the hotel far outweighed this. The location enabled us to explore pretty Beaumaris between downpours and took a trip up the coast to Amlwch as well. The Welsh breakfast set us up for the day and was followed by a superb dinner on Saturday evening. A lovely stay which we hope to repeat.

This hotel is rather quirky as it is slightly old fashioned and our room had a wardrobe that didn’t have any handles on it so we had to open it by pulling it open at the top or bottom of the door.

If you are vertically challenged you might need a step stool to get into bed. But a lot of laughs anyway given that the bed was on wheels! Mattresses extremely comfortable so worth the effort.

The hotel is just perfect for a few nights stay. We were welcomed and had a Welsh afternoon tea, we were also given a bottle of prosecco. The room was lovely, nicely decorated, spacious and clean. Tea and coffee making facilities are also in the room. Breakfast is served between 8-10 and was plentiful and cooked to perfection. There are plenty of options, so you won't go hungry.

A very warm welcome and exceptional service from Hazel and her team. Hotel very well located within a short walk of the pier, jail, and castle, The building itself has much charm and history relevant to its age. We upgraded to a superior room 6 which was very clean, spacious, well equipped with a partial sea view. Breakfast was excellent and Barney our golden retriever was made very welcome. Car parking is at the rear of the hotel, a little tight parking spaces when full but good to be able to park directly behind the hotel. Evening meals were not being served during our stay but lots of eating places in Beaumaris and also several good takeaways, which can be eaten in the hotel bar and lounge, and warm plates and cutlery provided for you to do so. Cannot fault the service, excellent value and we will not hesitate in returning. A credit to Hazel and her team. Thank you
