The grounds and gardens.

Grounds very clean and tidy. Lovely blooms. We appreciate that the family live in the house but we were told that there would be no ropes or restrictions when visiting the house. There was one rope across a doorway and we only had access to about 6 rooms and the extension stairway.

We wandered around the gardens. Lovely. I wish we’d gone earlier in the season as due to the very hot weather many plants had finished flowering. However it gave us a good idea of what there is and we’ll be back

Maybe a brolly on every table in the cafe as it was a very hot day when we went. And perhaps some sort of shade near the fountain area as we sat admiring it after lunch but was just tooo hot
