The staff were friendly. The building was stunning, we didn’t get to see the amazing historical vibe inside

I booked it for myself and my daughters as we were wedding dress shopping in York- it was therefore an important day. I had booked it mainly for the amazing building- the little gem in York. However we were shown into a side room which must have been an afterthought- there was nothing amazing about the room. As my daughters are both vegan I had checked out what they could have- what they had particularly the sandwiches was nothing like I had been told- one sandwich was pesto and half a cherry tomato, no scones, salad past its best. The quiche was homemade and that was the best vegan bit. I was so sad when I left.

We loved this! A gorgeous and fascinating historic hall in the shadow of the Minster that we had never even heard of, The afternoon tea was delicious- a tasty selection of sandwiches and cakes, delicious sausage rolls, scone and the best carrot cake! Staff are lovely and so helpful, and it was great to get a history of the hall too. Great value for money. We will definitely rebook this offer.
