Why We Love This Deal
Make for the sands and scenic shores of the English Riviera this spring. The Queens Hotel is less than 5 minutes' stroll from Paignton Beach. A 2-night stay would be £149.20 if you booked the hotel's Spring Escape package, but Travelzoo members can book B&B breaks from £99.
What's Included
- Valid Sunday–Thursday until 31 March, 2026. Fridays and Saturdays are an extra £10 per night, and April is £10 more per stay, payable direct to the hotel.
- A 2-night stay for two people in a Classic Double room, with cooked breakfast.
- Not available on 3–6 April, 2026
More Reasons to Go
- The Queens Hotel has a heated indoor swimming pool. There's a restaurant, bar, and lounge that hosts a weekly entertainment programme.
- Paignton Beach is less than five minutes' walk from the hotel. Turn left, to walk along the sands toward Paignton Pier, or right for Paignton Harbour.
- The unique landscape of the English Riviera has been designated a UNESCO Global Geopark. The horseshoe-shaped coastline and Tor Bay shelters a wealth of marine life—including seals, porpoises, and dolphins.
- The seaside town of Torquay, birthplace of Agatha Christie, is around 15 minutes' drive away. So too, Brixham, which is built around its picturesque fishing harbour.
- Hop aboard the Dartmouth Steam Railway from Paignton. The journey weaves its way by Goodrington Sands, the Dart Estuary, and on to Kingswear.

Our room was very small but tea and coffee plentiful and beds reasonably comfortable. We loved having the swimming pool.
Other Comments
The parking was a nightmare. The car park is very small and quite inadequate for the number of guests. We had to park on the road initially and pay at the meter.

Lovely hotel with decent sized room. First class breakfast and a well stocked bar. Excellent staff on reception and throughout really. Only downside was the poor coffee machine. We even had great weather! Great swimming pool too.

The night porter, (Henry?) was the exception and only customer focused and helpful member of staff. He is the only credit to this hotel.
Other Comments
Very dirty looking swimming pool and having to share breakfast with ten dead flies on the restaurant window cill and music played for the benefit of the staff. Very tired and poorly run hotel and virtually no customer service.

We were unable to sleep because it was very noisy. We had booked two nights but only stayed on night

Bathroom needed some works done especially the shower cubicle where there were signs of mold on the tiles and around the shower tray. Bed mattress need replacing as it clearly shows it has past its best. We requested a quieter room as we are light sleepers. Instead we were given the room facing the main road and had to content with the noise from passers by in the early hours of the morning.

Good location near the beach and town with adequate free parking. Hotel receives many coach parties so the restaurant is very busy most of the time, especially at breakfast, and table service is the norm. Food OK with portions on the modest side. Room was basic but fine. Our Travelzoo voucher gave us a pretty good deal.

Great food and staff service excellent. The deal was good value for the money.
Other Comments
Our room as a dog friendly option was very substandard with a broken window overlooking a flat roof where pigeons were nesting! The background of very rundown buildings was dismal. Our previous visit was better but this latest holiday was more off putting.
