Third visit to this lovely hotel in beautiful Windermere! As ever welcoming staff, prompt and efficient service, great food( and doggy boxes for smaller eaters!). Going again very shortly!

just a teensiest bit underwhelmed by where we were seated on this visit. The main dining room was not available so we were in a screened off area which was a bit cramped and a bit draughty. It didn't spoil our enjoyment of the event but we missed being in the dining room with its big windows and lovely views. On reflection we should have sat outside! Our mistake!!

The afternoon tea took place as a section of main dining area cordoned off. It was a bit chilly and lacked atmosphere. The food was good quality. Service was reasonable. It was serviced by teenagers who tried their best back lacked adult input and supervision
