The Fell Hotel, formerly the Devonshire Fell Hotel, is set in Burnsall village. Travelzoo members who have stayed there praise its "great location", "fantastic staff", and "beautiful food".   • The Fell Hotel is part of the Duke of Devonshire's 30,000-acre Bolton Abbey Estate. The property is in a "heart-tugging" location with "restful" guestrooms (The Daily Telegraph).
  • The quintessential North Yorkshire village of Burnsall was used as a location in the film "Calendar Girls". The hotel overlooks the Five Arch Bridge, which spans the River Wharfe.
  • Bolton Abbey is less than 20 minutes' drive from the hotel. It's home to the ruins of a 12th-century priory church. Walk through the Valley of Desolation and past Posforth Gill Falls for views from Simon's Seat.
  • Brimham Rocks, a National Trust site in the Nidderdale Natural Landscape, is around 30 minutes' drive. Or you could drive to the market town of Pateley Bridge and walk from there. The scenic route takes around 90 minutes.

Stunning location and lovely hotel. Everything about the break was outstanding. The estate is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Burnsall is an idyllic little village.

we had a very comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. The pass to the Bolton Abbey car parks was very much appreciated and we enjoyed our walks.

We were pleasantly surprised how lovely the hotel is. Our room was very spacious with a side view of the fell. A super king, comfy bed, smart speaker, homemade biscuits, tea and lovely coffee, as well as gorgeous Chatsworth toiletries all made our stay very enjoyable. Our evening meal in the restaurant, overlooking Burnsall was really nice and breakfast was also very good, with lots of options. We will definitely return. We didn't realise at the time of booking, but we received free parking on the Bolton Abbey estate, as well as complimentary entrance to the Devonshire spa! Just wish I'd packed my swimwear! A really lovely treat for my husband's birthday!
