This is "modern Indian cooking that deserved its Michelin star", says Andy Hayler about Benares. As well as a Michelin star, the Mayfair-based restaurant also holds two AA Rosettes. Luxury London praises the "inventive dishes that showcase conversation-stopping flavours and creative flair".   • Executive chef Sameer Taneja re-joined the restaurant team in 2019. He earned back the restaurant's Michelin star in 2021, and has retained it since.
