More Reasons to Go
- There has been a castle on the site since 1172. The current building dates from 1837 and includes a stone tower. Interiors combine funky, colourful décor with grand fireplaces and ornately carved woodwork.
- The Fahrenheit Restaurant occupies a vaulted room within the castle building. "The food is excellent," says The Daily Telegraph. There's also the Knights Bar, where a more casual menu is available. Also located in the castle building, it has an ornate pitched ceiling and open fireplaces.
- Deluxe Rooms are smart and spacious, with a mix of classic and contemporary design. They feature 55-inch smart TVs, free Wi-Fi, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
- Clontarf is a coastal suburb close to Dublin Bay. The scenic promenade stretches for three kilometres along the seafront and is 10 minutes' walk away.
- Dublin is one of the best city-break destinations in Europe. Enjoy cosy pubs, admire the grounds of Trinity College, or walk Temple Bar's cobbled streets.
- The offer includes tickets to the GPO History Museum. It occupies the former General Post Office Headquarters on O'Connell Street. This iconic building served as the rebels' headquarters during the 1916 Easter Rising. The museum presents an interactive, immersive experience that tells the story of modern Irish history.
