Medical Assistance
- You forgot an important prescription, we’ll help you to get a new one
- You fall ill or have an accident, we’ll identify the nearest appropriate medical or dental care facility
- You need an appointment with a reputable international doctor, we’ll help you schedule one
- You need someone who speaks the local language, we will translate for you
- You need emergency transportation for family members, we’ll arrange it for you
Travel Assistance
- Your flight gets cancelled, we’ll help you book a new one
- You need a last-minute hotel room wherever you are, we’ll help you book alternative accommodation
- You are unsure about documents or current travel advice, we’ll make sure you have all the information before you go
- You need a cot or other childcare equipment, we’ll get that setup for you wherever you’re going
- You need boarding for your pet while you are away, we’ll get that scheduled for you
Personal Assistance
- Your child left a treasured toy or you left your jacket at the hotel, we can help to get it back to you
- You need money for unexpected expenses, we can help with a secure funds transfer
- You don’t have an international data allowance and need to get an emergency message back home, we can contact your family for you
- The airline lost your bag, we can help you find it and coordinate delivery

What is the Travel Enthusiast Hotline?
It’s a 24/7 hotline provided by Travelzoo in partnership with Allianz Partners that helps you handle travel emergencies and obstacles—medical, personal or logistical—whenever you travel. With one call, you’re connected to a team of experts who coordinate support and, if needed, link you to a trusted network of medical care providers until your situation is resolved.
Who can use it?
If you’re a Travelzoo Club Member (not on trial), you have access to the medical, travel and personal assistance services through Allianz Partners on all your trips, regardless of whether they were booked through Travelzoo. This can be especially helpful if you have an accident, illness, or unexpected disruption. You’ll have a dedicated phone number and Group ID to reach the award-winning Allianz TravelCare® team. And you can call for help on behalf of yourself or your family that you are travelling with.
When should I call?
Call anytime you need help finding medical or dental care, have a medical issue and need translation support, lost your passport, missed a flight, or need emergency travel assistance for yourself or your family with you whenever and wherever you travel. Basically, if something goes wrong and you need expert help, you have support 24/7.
What kind of help can I expect?
You can get support like:
- Medical assistance: referrals, appointment scheduling, prescription replacement, transportation related to emergency medical situations (e.g., helping a family member travel to your hospital bedside)
- Travel logistics: rebooking flights, arranging accommodation, providing travel advice, booking rental cars
- Personal assistance: emergency fund transfers, lost baggage recovery, emergency messaging, returning forgotten items
