The arrival and picking from the Male to the resort was well planned and seamless, we very much appreciate their attention of the details from the staff meeting us at the Male international arrival hall, taking us to the domestic terminal and waiting in the lounge and the flight to the kooddoo and the resort. Beautiful rooms on the water, immaculate scenery, delicious foods and great service staffs. Truly an experience of a life time!

Suggest the hotel to offer some sort of pool exercises in the morning for their guests.

My husband and I booked and rebooked this vacation several times before we were actually able to go. It was worth the wait! The staff was very responsive to our change of dates and requests as we were booking. I had mentioned early in the booking process that we would like a villa as close to the end of the walk as possible and arrived to find we were in the villa second from the end. All of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Staff coordinated with the hotels we stayed with before and after our arrival, which made the whole thing effortless. It was so nice to arrive and have someone waiting for you. We never even had to stop and think about where we needed to go. We bought our vacation through Travelzoo and the discounted activities/excursions offered through Travelzoo were different than the ones typically offered through the resort. The resort honored Travelzoo's discounts with the provided voucher. You can tell they work hard to provide excellent customer service. The resort is less than a 1 minute golf cart ride from the hotel, though other than the sound of the rare plane landing and taking off, you would never know you were airport was there. The grounds are beautifully kept. We stayed in an over the water sunset villa with a pool and loved it. The room was large and bed comfy. The mini bar was restocked daily. Internet connection was good throughout the resort. The sunset view was unobstructed and beautiful. Snorkeling right off of our deck was amazing when we were able to get in the water. We saw so many types of fish, sharks, and turtles both from our deck and when snorkeling. Unfortunately, it was quite windy on most days so we weren't able to jet ski, kayak, or stand up paddle board. The pool was fresh water, and we were happy we selected a villa with a pool. We only ate at the buffet though there is an Italian restaurant as well. The buffet had such a large and delicious variety of food that we never felt the need to go to the restaurant. We booked a couples massage. As someone who has had hundreds of massages, I can honestly say it was excellent. I also had a facial which I enjoyed. I felt the prices for the spa treatments were reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the adults only atmosphere. Even though there were no children, it was not a party atmosphere. I would highly recommend coming here if you are looking to relax in a beautiful location with good food, great service, and no children.

Not my first trip to the Maldives but my first in an overwater bungalow. If you’re going to come all the way over to the Maldives, an over water bungalow is a must. Pay the extra money. You will never remember the cost and you will always remember the experience. The MERCURE team is fabulous. First class service. Great amenities.

Some hits and some misses.

Our stay at Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort was beautiful from arrival to departure. The check-in/out, bar, and restaurant staff members made our stay remarkable and welcoming. The accommodations and food options were terrific. I highly recommend this resort to anyone searching for a beautiful beach with a blue water setting to escape it all.

Connection to Kooddoo is tough

It was a very relaxed vacation with a few snorkeling trips. The staff all around are extremely good and professional the food was excellent. Chef Selvakumar went out of the way to cook vegetarian food for us. Overall we had a fabulous vacation at Mercure Maldives Kooddoo

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We attempted to go in April but storms in Dubai prevented us so we came in Aug when the weather was going to be wet. The resort is nice, rooms a bit dated but comfortable. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Due to winds there was very limited water sports. The buffet food was consistently good. There is always room for improvement but we found we had plenty of options and good variety from one day to the next. The only downside was even though we went on an all inclusive package there were additional charges for most things including some meal options.

The resort is just a couple of minutes from the airport. I think it is fairly small but I have nothing to compare with. There were no kids when we were there which was nice. The resort would have more upbeat vibe in the better weather. The reason we wouldn’t go back is simply because it is three flights through 9 time zones to get there so a lot of travel time and there are other interesting places to visit.

We are having such a wonderful time. We are grateful for Travelzoo's amazing voucher program. We got to experience paradise. We have traveled to many resorts such as Jamaica, Fiji, Costa Rica, Boracay, Thailand, Bali, Paris, Germany, Netherlands, and Dubai. By far, this is the best accommodation. Mercure Koodoo treated us like royalty. We can't express our gratitude enough in making our 20th anniversary very special. The all inclusive to all drinks including alcohol topped our expectations. This includes all meals, mini bar with alcohol and soft drinks, snacks, and bucket of beer daily. Furthermore, the transfer from Male airport to Koodoo was included which would have cost $800 for both of us. By, the way, this is an adult only resort. Excellent value. Every angle within 360 degrees is photogenic. The background looks like backdrop. We were able to see so much varieties of fish around our bungalow and through the glass bottom floor. The long flight times were so worth it. The staff was wonderful, caring, and dedicated to taking the best care of their guests. The tiny everyday touches made us feel like honored family members. We had a couple of hick ups, which the staff took care of quickly and efficiently. A shout out to Karouna, Ahod, Made, Shiifa, and all the smiling folks I've forgotten their names. The spa was glorious, the diving spectacular, the signature cocktails marvelous.

Even if you don't dive, there is lots to do. Snorkeling, yoga and cooking classes, water aerobics, well placed hammocks in shady places with great views of the water and lovely folks to make all your dreams come true.

This was our second time at the resort and we had a great time. The first time was in February 2023. The weather in October is not as nice, but the service and peaceful nature of the resort made up for it.

Staff went above and beyond, upgrading us to a villa with a pool at no extra cost since we’d stayed here before and we’re celebrating retirement. Amenities seem to be a little less than previous visit, but still really great (ie change in vouchers for discount amount of spa, in-room minibar scaled back). Amazing staff eager to accommodate wants/needs.

Overall a very good experience at the resort. However, the weather was horrible the 5 days we stayed with a lot of rain, very high winds, and very rough seas. This caused red flag conditions which prevented us from doing any water activities. It was a huge disappointment for our group. Obviously the resort cannot control the weather, but beware that the weather here can be nasty and last for days.

Beautiful location- very remote, meaning the resort is far from Male where any shopping or “city” would be- a little research would tell you that too. But it is a lovely place to relax on the beach.

The staff has been amazing. We particular love the dive shop (Suvadiva) and the outstanding staff there. Diving here has been amazing.

Amazing hotel at an amazing location. The villa over the water was brilliant and extremely beautiful. The staff, food and activities was perfect. Would highlight recommend this resort. It was super easy to book with the TravelZoo voucher and a great price.

Beautiful place, we just had a bit of bad weather.

We were warmly greeted on our arrival to Mercure Resort, about 350 miles south of Malè. The resort is so pretty and peaceful and our water villa was beautiful. We are not great at doing nothing on vacation but it seemed to occur quickly and easily for us in this tropical paradise. The food was wonderful and the Vista al a carte restaurant provided some excellent dishes in a boutique restaurant over the water. Mercure Kooddoo is a fabulous place to relax, unwind and reconnect. We loved our stay here and are so thankful to all of the staff for their warm and attentive hospitality. We highly recommend MERCURE . Tony and Criselda April 2024 FL, USA

Just be aware that you have a 1 hour flight from Malè to MERCURE Kooddoo. MERCURE will assist you with the arrangements and the extra time to get there is well worth it. Check out the awesome sea life literally right at your door!

The overwater villas are great, buffet food has different options to choose from during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are very helpful

Be prepare to walk depending on the location of your overwater villa and bring mosquitoes repellent. Nice resort with good food options for all-inclusive package.

We bought the voucher as it sounded like good value for money. Getting To the Maldives is a long journey so we added other countries to visit. Still felt it was an effort to get there but once there felt it was more than worth it. The resort is beautiful. The staff without exception go above and beyond and are friendly and cheerful. We felt very fortunate to spend time at this resort

One unfortunate incident was that we had some money taken from our room and a credit card stolen - the hotel staff listened to our complaint but didn;t seem to believe what had happened even though the there had been completed transaction on the card that morning - which alerted me throughthe app that it had gone missing. I really felt the hotle did not deal with this very well and will be following up with them.

Hotel is advertised as 4 star. The staff make more like a 5 star resort. Reception welcomes guests like royalty (lined up at the entrance waving as we arrive). After a quick intro we are shuttled off to the villa. After that it’s beautiful water, hot temps, and abundance of food and drink. The international staff are always ready to help, always genuine and always happy.

Wow! Spectacular scenery and service. I can’t say enough about this wonderfully relaxing retreat. Everything about this experience was top notch—from the food to the selection of activities. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to completely unwind.

Everything we like there, but excepted activates has not many choose. Especially our snorkeling trip was cancelled due to not enough people, and we have to pay additional money for other snorkeling and sandbank trip.

From the time we got our voucher to getting the time we wanted, the process has been smooth. The communication with the resort has been quick and efficient. Once we got to the Male airport there was staff to meet us and inform us of the next steps. It was lovely to be able to go to a lounge to relax before flying to Kooddoo. The resort staff met us at the airport and our check-in was smooth and quick. We are divers and tge dive operation is fantastic. All the staff are friendly, personable and customer oriented. We would recommend this resort.

Beautiful , seclude resort . Staffs are amazing .

Staff are wonderful. Food is delicious. Rooms are clean. Amenities are great - would be nice to have the ability to make same day reservations. I am genuinely shocked that there is not a swim up bar. The staff cater to you and deliver your drinks so you don’t need it but having a swim up bar does change the ambiance (in my opinion).

A fantastic all round experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. The minor let downs of the runway being on the island, and the very crowded transfer are overshadowed by the great food, drinks, service and amazing rooms. It really is paradise which we were so glad to have the additional time to 9 nights to enjoy.

This was my second trip and the staff made me feel like a rock star, from initial greeting to knowing my specific beverage preference at meal time and the gifts presented to me in my bungalow that were not expected. Wonderful and relaxing stay

Amazing!

All of the staff were friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Loved the atmosphere. Enjoyed the activities and excursions that were included. The food was tasty. The views were beautiful from day to night.

This was my first trip booked with TravelZoo and it has been nothing short of amazing! The hotel honored every item on my voucher and staff has just been wonderful! It’s a far travel from home but so worth the visit!
