About the Destination

To reach Il Patriarca, travelers can fly into Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi Airport (PEG) or Florence Airport (FLR); from there, it's about an hour and 45 minutes to the hotel from both. Alternatively, travelers can fly into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO); from there, it's approximately a 2-hour drive to the hotel.

Voucher cancellation and refund policy: Within 14 days of purchasing your voucher(s), Travelzoo will give you a full refund if you do not have an active reservation with the hotel. Once you book your dates, changes and cancellations are subject to the hotel's cancellation or rescheduling policy and may result in a fee or voucher forfeiture. If you have made a reservation, you must cancel your reservation directly with the hotel prior to refunding your voucher. Vouchers can be refunded online by going to "My Account.” After 14 days your voucher becomes nonrefundable. At time of purchase, you will have the option to make vouchers refundable until they expire, for a fee, but you will still be subject to the hotel cancellation policy if you have made a reservation.

Hotel cancellation policy: Once you’ve made your reservation, changes and cancellations are subject to the hotel’s policy. Occupancy rules: Price based on up to 2 guests per room. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults and 1 child per room. Children ages 0–3 stay free when using existing bedding; a cot is an additional €20 (approx. $23) per night. Children age 4 and up are an additional €50 (approx. $57) per night, including breakfast only.

Waited years to find the time to enjoy the Travel Zoo deal for this wonderful stay in Tuscany. The whole Villa Il Patriarca was a true delight, with old world charm throughout the hotel. All of the staff were accommodating even if there was a slight language barrier, all had enough English to understand any and all requests with a smile! The hotel grounds were lush and the pool was a cool retreat from the hot summer sun. The food was the true star and the Taverna Restaurant and the cooking class did not disappoint. We learned several Italian cooking tips. In the class we made 5 types of pasta shapes and 5 sauces. Each dish was served to us for lunch that left us satiated and blessed with meeting mew friends, enjoying the learning process of true Italian cooking with a glass of wine. Some items were pay as you go, as for wine and water but all prices were very reasonable. The breakfast had a variety of selections of hot and cold options. We loved the nice waiter that brought our American Large Coffees to us each morning.

The property is lovely and the rooms and bed very comfortable! Every meal we ate was delicious, especially at I Salotti. The Taverna was also excellent! The staff are all very kind and engaging. The cooking class with Donna and Alessandra was spectacularly fun and the results were delicious!!

When we first arrived, we weee confused as the GPS took us to a small supermarket. We were very relieved to realize that the hotel was up around the corner. It is in a more modern area with access to major roads but off the busy street and a fantastic location to explore Montepulciano/Sienna and other small, beautiful villages. Driving was easy, safe and roads were great. All in all a fantastic deal!

Everything about this villa was excellent. The deal we had through Travelzoo allowed us to experience all the fun things too, like a wine tasting, a delicious dinner at the Taverna and the amazing pasta making class. Location was great and the staff are top-notch!

The staff, the cooking class, wine tasting and steak dinner were all fabulous. Our rooms wete clean and well equipped and quite nice.

The location is a little remote without a car or transportation. Thd pool did not open until June 1st. Book an experience, in advance, if you want any activity, otherwise be prepared to just telax and enjoy the surroundings. The yards and grounds are lovely.

The cooking class was terrific. Alessandra at the front desk who helped with a great class was one of the best hotel staff people I’ve ever worked with. I actually wish that I had a car so that I could travel more easily some of the surrounding areas. Unfortunately, the weather was really not that good during my stay and it was silly. Would definitely recommend the hotel to others and especially the cooking classes with the sous chef whose name is Donna or something like that. She was great and I learned a lot. Though all of us in the class out a wonderful afternoon together.
